Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of ImmAppeal (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What ImmAppeal is — and isn't
ImmAppeal is a software tool that helps legal professionals draft immigration appeal briefs. It uses AI to assemble a first draft and checks the case citations it proposes against federal court records. ImmAppeal does not provide legal advice, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney. Every brief, argument, and citation it produces must be independently reviewed and verified by a licensed attorney before it is filed or relied upon. AI output can contain errors or omissions, and we make no guarantee about the correctness of any draft or about any case outcome.
Who may use the Service
The Service is intended for licensed attorneys and the legal professionals working under their supervision. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the rules of professional conduct and bar regulations that apply to you.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Do not share a single account across people or firms in a way that violates your plan.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the materials you submit and for reviewing all output — especially every citation — before any use or filing.
- You must have the legal right to submit any case materials you upload, including the consent needed to process information about your client, and you must comply with your professional and ethical obligations, including the duty of competence and confidentiality.
- You remain solely responsible for the legal work product you file. ImmAppeal accelerates research and drafting; it does not exercise legal judgment on your behalf.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate anyone’s rights;
- upload material you do not have the right to submit, or malware or harmful code;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems and data;
- resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build a competing product, or use automated means to extract its outputs in bulk.
Citations and verification
ImmAppeal checks the citations it proposes against its database of federal decisions and excludes citations it cannot verify. Verification reduces, but does not eliminate, the risk of an inaccurate or inapposite citation. You must independently confirm that every authority cited is real, correctly quoted, still good law, and appropriate for your argument before filing.
Plans, credits, and payment
Paid plans and per-brief credits are described at the time of purchase, and the price and terms shown at checkout control. Unless a refund is required by law or expressly stated, fees and used credits are non-refundable. We may change pricing for future purchases; changes do not affect credits you have already bought.
Your content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the case materials you submit and of the briefs you generate. You grant us a limited license to process your materials only as needed to operate and provide the Service. We own the Service itself — its software, models, and database — and these Terms grant you no rights in them beyond the right to use the Service.
Confidentiality and data
We treat the case materials you submit as confidential and do not use them to train AI models or sell them. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output is accurate, complete, or suitable for filing without independent attorney review.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ImmAppeal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or for any reliance on output that was not independently reviewed by a licensed attorney. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ImmAppeal harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, the materials you submit, or your breach of these Terms or of your professional obligations.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
