Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
ImmAppeal ("we") provides software that helps immigration attorneys prepare appeal briefs. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. ImmAppeal is a software tool and does not provide legal advice.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email, firm, and the credentials you provide to create or use an account.
- Case materials you submit— case facts, uploaded immigration-judge decisions, and other content you enter to generate a brief. This can include sensitive details about a client’s case and identity.
- Messages you send us — anything you write in the on-site assistant, contact forms, or support requests, including your contact details and the recent chat context attached to a request.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of a purchase and limited billing details; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and technical data — basic logs (IP address, timestamps, pages, device and browser data) needed to run, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
How we use it
- To generate, deliver, and improve the appeal-brief product you request.
- To respond to you. Messages, requests, and complaints you submit through the assistant or contact forms are delivered to our team so a person can follow up with you.
- To process payments and manage your plan and credits.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Client and case data — what we do not do
We do not use your case materials to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information. Because case materials can be subject to attorney-client confidentiality, we restrict internal access to what is needed to operate the Service and to support you.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us operate the product (for example, hosting, infrastructure, and payment processing), under confidentiality obligations and only as needed to provide the Service, or where required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your data.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Case files can be deleted from our servers on request. We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest, restrict access, and use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Because case materials can be sensitive, share only what is necessary for the task at hand, and remove identifying details you do not need to include.
Children
The Service is intended for legal professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
